"Reserve your service or companion puppy today!"
At The Olympus Standard Poodle, we understand the importance of finding the perfect puppy for your family. To help ensure a smooth and secure process, we use non-refundable deposits. Here’s why:
Why Do We Require Non-refundable Deposits?
Serious Commitment: A non-refundable deposit indicates that you are committed to bringing a puppy home. This allows us to dedicate more time and resources to each puppy and their mother, ensuring that every puppy receives the care and attention they deserve.
Planning and Preparation: Deposits allow new owners to adequately prepare for the arrival of their puppy, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to their new home. During this time, you can consider:
Questions to ask yourself before getting a dog.
Changes you will experience in your life when you get a dog.
Financial considerations when getting a new dog.
Financial Support: Raising a litter responsibly requires a significant investment of time and money. The total cost of raising a litter can range from $7,700 to $23,900, including health checks for the breeding female, stud services, supplies and equipment, extra food and prenatal vitamins, pre and postnatal veterinary care, registration documents for the new litter, and check-ups and vaccinations for the puppies. We make these investments out of our own pocket, relying on being compensated when the puppies go to their new homes. Non-refundable deposits help us ensure we can cover these initial costs and continue to provide the best possible care.
Selecting Homes: We take the selection of new homes for our puppies very seriously. Non-refundable deposits help us filter those who are genuinely committed, avoiding "window shoppers," and ensuring our puppies go to homes that are prepared and suitable for them.
How Much is the Deposit?
The typical deposit to reserve a puppy from The Olympus Standard Poodle ranges from $300 to $500. This amount varies depending on the litter and will be used to reserve your place on our waiting list. Deposits should be given in good faith, indicating your serious commitment to purchasing a puppy from us.
